Connecting Brevo with Bouncer

Here you will find the instructions on how to connect your Brevo account with Bouncer, and how to import your list and export verified addresses back to Brevo.

Setting up the integration with Bouncer is very simple! To do that, log into your Brevo account, click on your account name (top right corner) and click on the SMTP & API button. Then, create your API key and copy it, go to your Bouncer account, select Verify List section, and click on the Brevo icon in the Integrations field. Bouncer will ask you to enter the API key. When it’s done, your integration is already set!

After connecting your account, you can also activate AutoClean, our fully automated list cleaning feature for Brevo. Set it up once, and Bouncer will automatically verify new contacts and reverify your existing ones on schedule, helping keep your lists fresh and safe to send.

Verifying your list

Step 1

Go to your Bouncer account, select Verify List, and hit the Brevo Import button. Select your list and start the verification.

Step 2

Once the verification is complete, you can export the clean data back to your platform by clicking on the export button in the row of completed verification. When you choose Export Verification Results, you can see the option to remove a specific group of email addresses (e.g., undeliverable, risky: disposable, etc.)

Step 3

After the process is finished, a confirmation window pops out. Now you can go back to your Brevo account and finish your campaign. Once you get to the final stage, just click on Create Campaign button!

Use the Bouncer Recommends field in Brevo to segment contacts or trigger automations based on verification results.

For example:

“If status is suppress, exclude the contact from future campaigns.”

Terminology

Deliverable
The recipient’s email provider has confirmed that the email address exists, it is safe to send.
Risky
The email address may result in a bounce or low engagement. Risky addresses: Accept All, Full Mailbox, or Disposable.
Undeliverable
The address is either syntactically incorrect or does not exist.
Unknown
We were unable to receive a response from the email provider. The credits for such verification will not be deducted from your balance. We never charge you for the email addresses with this status.
